Nuclear Container Corporation (NCC)

NCC stands for the Nuclear Container Corporation. NCC is a 50-50 joint venture between NNRF and the Engineering Centre for Nuclear Containers (ECNC). ECNC is a Moscow and St. Petersburg based designer and manufacturer of low and medium level radioactive and toxic waste containers. NCC will design and market new dual purpose containers used for the transportation and long term storage of high level radioactive waste. ECNC is currently a supplier of radioactive and toxic waste containers to the Russian market. Under the terms of the joint venture ECNC will be responsible for the design, development and certification of the new containers. NNRF will be responsible for marketing the containers internationally.
